About Our Church & Service

The Church was started in 2003 with 3 families. We felt the call of God to plant a church and we were obedient to that call.

After hundreds of hours of reading the word, praying, and seeking God's direction He gave us the name: Holy Spirit. It was our intention to truly follow God's direction for this church and the name is there to show this is the Father’s church.

We are Non-denominational. But what does that 'really' mean?

  • We stand on the word of God. We have very few 'rituals' that have been created by man. If it is something we should be doing, we know we will find it in the Bible.
  • We are a church that believes we are to follow Jesus and His teachings.
  • We don't care where you came from; we care about where you want to go.
  • We mix our worship music with praise and hymns.
  • We teach our children from the Bible; Jesus and love go hand-in-hand.

Our Church Family

Take a look around. We are a small church focused on close relationships. If you haven't been to church for a while, why don't you take a Sunday and visit us? We'd love to worship and fellowship with you.

Located in Kenosha WI we are about 45-60 people living life for Jesus. All of us come from a different background, yet God has brought us all together to form a body of believers who serve Jesus the Christ, and do so with joy. Jesus saved us.

What You Can Expect During Service

Opening Prayer – Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.

Worship Songs – We like music to be a mixture of new and old. You’ll hear hymns and you’ll hear some of today’s top Christian music.

Tithing/Offering –  You can even tithe online by clicking HERE
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Cor. 9:7

Koinonia – Greek for fellowship. At this time we open the floor to the congregation to share joyous moments they’ve experienced over the week. We also encourage everyone to share concerns they may have, people and things they’d like the church to come together and pray over.
“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20

Reflection Song - Take a moment in silent reflection.

Sermon - Teachings from the Bible. We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the work of God without error, inspired by the Holy Spirit, being the final authority and all matter of faith and conduct.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22

Praise Songs - Again, we use music to rejoice to the Lord!
”Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!” Psalm 95:1

Closing Prayer – One final prayer before departure. We encourage you to fellowship with us after service.

Children’s Church

Children are welcome to remain in church for the whole service or they can attend children’s church. Children’s church is run by Sheryl Hansen, Pastor Charlie’s wife, and provides a fun and hands-on learning approach to teaching our children about the Bible, Jesus, and the gifts from God.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14
